Can-Am Mk 2 sports racer (1972-75)

Hillclimb race car .This version, about 20 of which were built, had its own special chassis, central motor location and adjustable "triangulated" wishbone suspension.

Chassis: Steel tube with riveted aluminium panels.. Fibreglass bodywork. Engine: Renault: various, from 1300cc to 1800cc. Gearbox: Renault 8 or 12 Gordini.

One car was fitted with a Simca JRD engine and a Hewland gearbox for the 1973 Simca Shell Cup, and in 1974 another , a right-hand drive version, was fitted with a Ford Cosworth engine and a Hewland gearbox .
